Each month for the foreseeable future, we are collecting donations to send to charitable organizations and causes in the US. For 2020 and onwards, these highlighted organizations are ones that are centered around education and the fight against racism. It is clear that the specialty coffee industry, and society as a whole, have much to address regarding this long-standing issue. And a way to start is to contribute to those groups that are knowledgeable about action and teach those around them to unlearn racism.
For the month of September, we will be collecting for Innovation for Equity. This will continue until the last day of the month.
The organization "brings together inspiring leaders from across the education and workforce sector who are united in their commitment to disrupt the status quo and improve outcomes for Black learners of all ages."
To donate, you can select the amount you wish to contribute as an add-on for your product purchases. Acaia will publicly provide proof of donations when they are sent to the organization.

"In August 2018, a group of leaders from across the education sector convened to consider one vital question: How might we collaborate to dramatically improve life outcomes for Black learners of all ages?
"The creation of Innovation For Equity, Inc. (IFE) and its accompanying initiatives were the agreed upon answer to this question. In the years since, IFE has grown to become an essential and active community that is leading the way in responding to inequities in education by fostering innovation and developing transformational leaders."
