Orion Mini

Introducing the Orion Mini, available in Space Gray and Matte White.

Similar to the larger 8 inch Orion, The Orion Mini is a system that gives you precise control over your doses. Its intuitive dial interface allows you to save two different weights and operate in a fully automatic mode. With a weighing capacity of 3000 grams, the Orion Mini is precise and quick. The Orion Mini’s platform is 4 inches in diameter and loses no design or functionality in the transition. The new addition to the Acaia line-up has an accuracy level of 0.1 of a gram.

An ideal addition to any compact and busy bar setup, the Orion Mini will blend in seamlessly with your equipment and speed up any bar flow. The patent-pending auger was designed to smoothly control coffee beans without any damage.

The Orion mini is available on our website now and available internationally from the end of September.

 We are also delighted to introduce several other products to the Acaia line up:

Orion White

We’re launching the original Orion in a brand new finish! Due to popular demand, we have released our coffee bar and roastery essential in a fresh new color. There are no functional differences between the Space Gray and White versions. Available on our website now.

Dosing Cup S

Introducing our smallest dosing cup. This lightweight portafilter tool makes the transfer of ground and whole coffee as smooth as possible. Fashioned from stainless steel, the dosing cup is designed to be stackable and is anti-static, keeping your workflow clean and quick.  Available on our website now.

100 g Calibration Weight 

Integral for any scale owner, the 100 g Acaia Calibration weight is now available to purchase on its own. With the Acaia logo and laser-etched on the top and side, Acaia calibration weights are built to F2 standards (+/- 0.0075g) by and verified in our labs. Available on our website now. 

Upcoming Events

Acaia at SCAJ  

You can find Acaia products and the brand new Orion Mini at this year’s SCAJ. The World Specialty Coffee Conference and Exhibition will be on at Tokyo Big Sight West Hall from September 11 to 13. Find the Orion Mini in both Space Gray and Matte White at FBC International’s booth over the three-day event. Our Japan sales representative Maiko will also be in attendance at the booth. 

Acaia at Access and Barista Camp

In the coming weeks, we are delighted to also be attending two Specialty Coffee Association events. We are returning as sponsors for both events. The first event will be Barista Camp, held during 10-13 September in Anavissos, Greece. Barista Camp “focuses on offering an opportunity to develop and learn as a barista, in a setting that promotes sharing ideas and experiences and being part of a wider community.”  

We will also be attending Access, a two-day barista event in San Diego on 17-18 September. “Access combines hands-on workshops, research presentations, technology exploration, and industry insights. With a wide variety of educational sessions, you can create a schedule that suits your interests and the direction you want to grow your career in coffee.” At the main event, you can find our table in the Innovation Showcase area. The breaks in the schedule (Innovation Exploration) give attendees time to visit this area.
