Customer Reviews: Pyxis Black

Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars based on 2 customer reviews.

Really nice size with some initial issues

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

There seems to be improvements in the recent firmware. Some of these have been fixed it would seem. I will update the review when I have more time to test it.

The size and accuracy of this thing is simply amazing. It fits nicely under my flair 58 with the drip tray on, which is where my lunar struggled. The navigation through the menu is also much easier. But the software is half-baked - there's many annoying tiny bugs. When you plug it to charge, it turns on, even though it can't be used with the cable, and the charging indicator just occasionally blinks. Brew history is inaccurate and there's no way to clear it (I pull espressos around 1.2 flow rate. It says 5.6 now and goes up after every pull. I mean, math is hard, I get it, but still.) You need to refer to the Lunar manual for the meaning of many settings. Luckily, all these should be solvable with the firmware update. It will be a great product - one day.

Incredibly responsive and fun to use. As high as the price is there isn't a better espresso scale.
