Acaia at Expo 2023

We're back from SCA Expo in Portland, Oregon and we have plenty of images and news to share! Before the event kicked off, our incredible Portland office team worked hard to design and build our impressive booth. For the three-day convention, we brought together an international team of Acaia staff to run our Expo stand. We also had a host of fantastic roasters and tea merchants that took over our eye-catching "space bar," spotted many exciting products on the show floor, attended many of the satellite events run from Thursday to Monday, and had the honor of winning the SCA's Best New Product Award in the Coffee Accessories category.

If you dropped by our stand at booth #909, you may have noticed we were very busy! We demoed many of our products, including the Pearl, Pearl S, Lunar, and Pyxis scales, as well as the Orion and Orion Mini Bean Dosers, their upcoming smaller version, the Orion Nano, the Orbit Eclipse grinder, and the Ion Beam. The preproduction Orion Nano is the only one of its kind and proved popular with those who dropped by our booth. We also had great reactions to the Acaia grinder and the soon-to-be-released Ion Beam. Over three days, our team handed out almost 2000 brand-unique stickers!

We had a wonderful schedule of roasters and tea makers who brewed delicious drinks for our many visitors. It was our pleasure to meet and host the following companies on our "space bar":

When we had a chance to leave our busy booth, we walked the show floor and spotted many new, exciting products by other attending brands and friends of Acaia.

We are honored to have one of our latest creations, the Ion Beam, win the SCA's Best New Product award in the Coffee Accessories category. Our co-founder Rex was presented with the award during the second day of the Expo. The Ion Beam is designed to work both as a portable accessory for different grinders or to be mounted on the Acaia Orbit grinder. The ionizer solves the common problem of static generated during the grinding process. Read more about it here, where you can also sign up to be notified of its release this month.

During Expo, we also took the opportunity to attend some of the many local industry events.

We would like to thank so many of you who dropped by our booth over the Expo weekend. We would also like to thank the roasters and tea merchants who brewed at our booth and the booth partners on the show floor.
