World of Coffee Athens Recap

We're back from Athens! At the end of June, we attended the largest coffee trade show in Europe, World of Coffee. This year's event was held in the Greek capital on June 22-24. Our team featured our products on the show floor and our booth proved incredibly busy over the three-day event.

We hosted a schedule of nine different roasters and brewers, who served delicious coffee to visitors. It was also the first time we brought the Orbit grinder and Ion Beam to Europe, set to drop in July. We also had the honor of our soon-to-be-released Orion Nano winning the Best New Product award in the "Coffee Accessories" category.

It seems many people found us in Hall 3 of the exhibition center, as our booth stayed incredibly busy during the whole event! We demoed a range of our products, including the Lunar, Pearl, range of dosing cups, Ion Beam, Orion, and Orbit. The Ion Beam is an industrial-grade ion generator that efficiently minimizes static generated during the grinding process, resulting in reduced retention, less flying chaff, and less clumping. The Orbit grinder is designed to be single-dosing friendly and minimizes the retention when grinding. The Orbit and Ion Beam were demoed in tandem to show the best of their abilities.

Along with demoing for the first time in Europe, we also entered the Orion Nano in the Best New Product competition, run by the SCA and judged by a panel of industry experts. We were honored to have the Orion Nano selected as the winner in the "Coffee Accessories" category. We would like to thank the SCA staff and board, as well as the judges' panel, for the honor. We would also like to congratulate our fellow winners in the other categories.

The Orion Nano is the third bean doser in our catalog, along with the original Orion and Orion Mini. The Nano can be connected with other Nanos to create an on-demand blending station for green or roasted coffee. Its minimal footprint makes it ideal for compact counter space, ensuring more efficiency in a roasting or bar space. Make sure to follow our newsletter for more information on its upcoming release here.

We were excited to host a range of incredible roasters and brewers from across Europe at our booth. They and their teams served delicious coffee to many of our booth visitors, and we would like to thank them again for joining us.

When we had the chance, we walked the extensive two-hall show. So many attendees traveled from far and wide to both attend and exhibit at the center. We spoke with many of our resellers and got to demo many products by other incredible coffee equipment companies and roasters!

It wasn't just about the exhibition at this year's World of Coffee. We would like to extend our congratulations to the newest set of champions from this year's world coffee championships! Our team had the chance to attend some of the many satellite events that happened in conjunction with the SCA trade show. One event included the Barista League's big Opa party at The Underdog restaurant and cafe. The party featured several games, including a coffee weight guessing game which gave attendees a chance to win a brand new Pearl scale.
